A marvellous French guard chain from the early 20th Century consisting of fancy, open-work links with a scrolling mid-section and rope edge frame. They’re fashioned in silver and gilded in a bright 18ct yellow gold.
The chain is fitted with a ring clasp at the end which would have traditionally held a pocket watch or lorgnette. It can be worn as one long chain or looped twice around the neck if preferred.
